Dawe
James creates virtual landscapes and dynamic compositions that bend perception and breakdown reality, using collage and digital manipulation. Rich with texture and eclectic postmodern references, he explores both 2D and 3D spaces, embracing new ways of seeing to create fresh and energetic pieces.
As an artist and illustrator James has collaborated with a broad range of clients from Adidas, Porsche and Ferragamo to The New York Times, V&A, Natural History Museum and British Fashion Council, amongst many more.

Attaching a brand or product to your visual aesthetic always seems to elevate the work and give it focus and respect. When a brand embraces your aesthetic, it energises the output.

It helps to be passionate and knowledgeable about sport when working on sport-specific commissions. I’m much more likely to be found watching sports highlights than a Netflix series!

The endless possibilities found in CGI fascinates me. It has enabled me to combine imagery in a new way, and construct abstract formulations of the future.
